Our Child Care Programs are designed to provide a nurturing and encouraging framework for children to develop confidence and construct personal knowledge. We have designed our curriculum to meet the children's needs, wants and interests.
We believe that learning through play creates a variety of experiences to enhance cognitive, physical, emotional and social growth of children.
Sprouts child care Curriculum
Sprouts Early Learning is proud to offer a well-rounded curriculum that combines a number of today's leading Early Childhood Methods. Aimed at developing the whole child, our program offers “hands-on” learning experiences with structured and open ended activities.
Sprouts Child Care Programs give children the opportunity to participate in Music & Movement, Math, Phonics, Creative Arts, Dramatic Arts, Reading & Writing, Science, Physical Education and Yoga.
We focus on a different bi-weekly topic or theme that stimulates the interest of the children.
We believe that children learn best when the curriculum is motivating and meaningful.
Any area that the children have a keen interest in, is then further developed upon by the teachers. Our teachers support the children’s ideas and foster their intellectual development where children and teachers discover and explore together.
Our curriculum provides children with an opportunity to work individually, and share learning experiences and play with their friends. Our balanced teaching and individual attention fosters high self-esteem, friendships, healthy lifestyles, and a deep love of learning, enabling our children to perform at their fullest potential in their life journey that awaits them.
Sprouts will share weekly photos of activities, privately with families through a class app.
Documentation is a key component of our program. Through photos, videos, and dialogue we capture children engaged in play and reflect on its meaning beneath the play. Sharing these documentations with families and children makes the children’s thinking and learning visible.
Assessments and developmental goals will be reviewed with families throughout the preschool year.
Sprouts Early Learning follows the Delta School District Calendar, and therefore, Sprouts will share the same Non-Instructional Days and holiday schedules as Ladner Elementary School.
